Learning Beyond the Classroom

Augustine School faculty know that field trips, travel abroad, and learning experiences outside of the classroom enhance the curriculum taught within the classroom. We’ve witnessed first hand how names, dates, stories, and facts come to life when our students are able to travel and see what they’ve learned about in person. We also affirm that travel allows our students to grow in flexibility, connect with fellow classmates and teachers, broaden their perspective, and gain various life skills. Below is sampling of trips our students take each year. To learn more about our school experiences, you can read about our Culture and Traditions here.

12th Grade

Europe Trip

A classical education culminates in visiting the places our students have read and learned about during their year at Augustine. Every year, Augustine School seniors embark on a European tour concluding their educational experience in an unforgettable way.

8th Grade

St. Louis Trip

Each year our Augustine Eighth Grade students and their parents spend a weekend exploring the city of St. Louis and its many landmarks.

Field Trips

Augustine School values on-site learning and interaction with experts. For that reason our students take multiple field trips throughout the year in the Jackson area and beyond. Multiple classes from different grades often come together for these trips to build inter-grade friendships and community.
