Career Opportunities

Our faculty and staff are dedicated to academic excellence and Christian maturity. Each day they bring their unique qualifications and experience toward the goal of educating children and young adults to the glory of God - both inside the classroom and out. We believe that the personal integrity, academic excellence, and devotion to students that our faculty and staff display is one of Augustine School's greatest strengths.

We are always accepting applications for employment at Augustine School. Even if there are no positions currently available, we will review previous submissions as job postings become available throughout the year. To apply, please download and complete our faculty application here and submit it to our school office. If you have any questions about this process, please email our Administrative Assistant, Amy Owens, at aowens@augustineschool.com.

To learn more about Augustine School’s philosophy of education, we encourage you to read “The Lost Tools of Learning” by Dorothy Sayers.

We look forward to hearing from you!

What are the typical characteristics of an Augustine School teacher?

Love of God

Our faculty and staff are committed Christians who abide by the truth of the Gospel while practicing their faith under the authority and accountability of a local church community.

Love of Learning

Augustine School teachers love learning and are committed to the pursuit of wisdom, which fuels their passion to teach students to pursue the good, the true, and the beautiful in all of life.

Love of Students

Our faculty and staff share a deep-rooted joy in contributing to the growth and education of children.

Love of Neighbor

Our faculty and staff are dedicated to participating and investing in the broader Augustine School community and culture, and beyond.

“I have fun as a teacher. The small class sizes and well-mannered students allow me to pursue more creative ideas. I think it speaks to what is unique about Augustine - we are encouraged to lead students in a sort of gleeful learning.”

Ally Blaschke, Upper School Science

“I love that teaching and shepherding are one in the same in the classroom. Talking through heart issues, pointing ourselves and our students to Jesus, is not an interruption in our day. It is a vital and expected thread woven throughout our moments at school.”

Lindsey Carson, Pre-Kindergarten

“Teachers are lifelong learners. The thing that I love most, in a lot of ways, is learning and that’s one of the reasons I became a teacher. So being able to do that with students that I love deeply and care about and walk this journey with them, is one of the things that really makes Augustine School, and a classical classroom, so unique.”

Kevin Vailes, Upper School Humanities
